Sworn translators

Legally valid abroad

A sworn translation is one that has been created by a translator who has been sworn in by one of the Dutch courts, and who is listed in the Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Register beëdigde tolken en vertalers, Rbtv). The translation must be accompanied by a statement or signature, and the translator’s stamp.

A translation must be sworn in order for it to be considered legally valid in the country for which the translation is destined, such as birth or marriage certificates, pre-nuptial agreements, divorce documents, diplomas, extracts of official documents, etc.

We provide sworn translations into and out of a variety of languages.
